Jo Jung Rin is a South Korean journalist. She graduated from Hyeseong Girls’ High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting Entertainment from Dongduk Women's University and a master's degree in Journalism from Korea University. She initially debuted on TV as a singer when she won a contest on MBC, imitating professional singers. She trained with Lee Sun Hee for 6 months before quitting as her skills were not improving. She then worked as an entertainment reporter, host, radio DJ, and actress. However, in 2006, she was involved in controversy when it was revealed she had created fake dating rumours and even created multiple accounts on social media to create drama with female celebrities. She was fired, and her activities were restricted until 2012. She worked in the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Social Affairs before TV Chosun gave her a second chance in 2016 as a broadcasting reporter and member of the Political Department. In 2023, she became part of the investigative reporting department.
