Park Jin Young is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor and a member of the boy band GOT7 and boy band duo JJ Project. Park officially signed with BH Entertainment on January 28 of 2021. He made his musical debut in the band GOT7 on January 16, 2014, with the song 'Girls Girls Girls' and made his acting debut in the 2012 series 'Dream High 2'. He made his solo debut on July 29, 2021, with the song 'Dive' which he also self-composed. Due to his shared name with his agency's founder, Park originally debuted with the stage name Jr., but later changed the spelling to Junior due to widespread confusion about the correct pronunciation of his name. On August 16th, 2016, Park announced that he would simply go by his given name. He has been awarded the Potential Award as well as the Popularity Award in the television/film category at the 2020 Asia Artist Awards. In 2023 at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, he received awards for 'Best New Actor' for his role in the film "A Christmas Carol" (크리스마스 캐럴) and TikTok Popularity Award (Male).
