Tian Yu is a Chinese actor, born in Beijing and graduated from the Central Academy of Drama. Due to his growing up in the old Beijing Hutong and exposure to the Beijing People's Theatre, he became interested in stage performance and actively studied art-related subjects. After graduating in 1999, he joined China Yourt Art Theatre. Tian made his debut in the 2001 movie "Heart to Heart". In 2020, he won the 2019 Movie Channel M List's Most Outstanding Little Characters for his lead role in the "Driving for You All Night". In August same year, he won the "Magnolia Award for Best Supporting Actor" at the 26th Shanghai TV Festival for "Joy of Life". It was reported Tian and Tang Wei fell in love in 2004 because of their collaoration in the movie "Jing Hua Yan Zi", but they broke up because of it.
