Uhm Tae Woong is a South Korean actor. He made his acting debut in 1998 but initially struggled to emerge from under the shadow of his older sister, popular singer-actress Uhm Jung Hwa. After several years of supporting roles, Tae Woong began to gain recognition after his villainous turn in the romantic comedy "Delightful Girl Choon Hyang". Tae Woong married ballerina Yoon Hye Jin in 2013 and has a daughter, Ji On. Since 2015, father and daughter have starred in the popular reality series “The Return of Superman”. Previously, Tae Woong was a member in the "2 days 1 night season 2" variety show. Previously in 2016, Uhm Tae Woong faced accusations of sexual assault from an employee at an adult entertainment establishment. While he was cleared of the sexual assault accusations, the actor still paid a fine of 1 million KRW for solicitation of prostitution.
